 » Recurring Subscriptions

Prior to November 2007, Kismet Hosting had a policy of requesting recurring PayPal subscriptions to be created.

However, from December 1st 2007, Kismet Hosting will no longer force subscriptions to be created. This marks the conclusion of Kismet Hostings acquisition of Locked Box Design and Hosting.

Prior to December 2007, clients would continue to be billed for abandoned services which they no longer wished to pursue. Without a pre-existing cancellation request, recurring charges are considered valid and enforceable by law.

We understand that this method of billing does not represent the high quality of customer service which our customers demand.

Now, all clients have the option to be billed via subscription, but our default is invoicing - which requires the client to log into out system to renew the hosting. In doing so, they have more of an opportunity to cancel the service and not incur any additional charges.

Kismet Hosting will endeavour to investigate any refund claims for abandoned accounts. A £5 administration fee may be applied. For refunds assessed at under £10, a credit will be applied to your client account. For refunds over £10, funds will be returned to the PayPal account associated with the payments.

In the majority of cases, the assessed refund will be for the full value of the transaction minus of gateway fees. You will be required to provide proof or payment.
